WHAT IS A SOLOBAND?
Definition: A soloband is a single performer who sings and plays guitar or keyboard
while using backing tracks of bass and drums to sound like a live band,
The purpose of my soloband website is to reveal a 1950s secret guitar method that enables anyone to play guitar songs in a matter of days instead of months.
Hello!
My name is Ron Lemire. Welcome to SoloBand.net
Most guitar instructors stretch out their courses for months and months with repetitive, boring, and costly lessons (like learning and practicing chords).
One online guitar studio is bragging that they have over 10,000 lessons. Not to be outdone, another online studio claims it has over 80,000 lessons.
The newest development is a custom AI guitar teacher. LOL!
Maybe the next AI venture will be teaching flyfishing, scuba diving, and windsurfing.
Playing popular music doesn’t require thousands of lessons.
For people of all ages and skill levels, I have only one lesson, a long forgotten way to play guitar that’s Fast, Easy & Fun.
Includes my exclusive “Play Along” video library of 60 top hits from the 50s / 80s
Did you know there was a simple way of playing guitar that was lost over 40 years ago?
In the 1950s, we had a secret. It was the reason 10’s of thousands of “wanna-be” musicians could pick up a guitar and start making music—really fast.
In the 1980s, guitar music, and the secret, faded away.
Today, online “gurus” hook students with “learn guitar in a week,” then push costly “Must Have” special lessons (before students can even strum properly). It’s all about the money.
Play Guitar The Fast, Easy and Fun Way
Learn to play guitar — not play chords
Learning to play guitar from a music teacher always starts with boring chord-strumming exercises (because students are not interested in reading music). Online music gurus may also push expensive add-on lessons. It’s all about the money.
Completing a course of strumming lessons leaves students believing they know how to play a guitar, but that illusion is like riding a bike with training wheels.
Our fast, easy, and fun system helps beginners and veteran strummers alike bring their guitar to life—so you can start playing a recognizable song with rhythm, style, and melody from your very first lesson.
Learn To Play Guitar Better?
Stop strumming guitar — and Start playing guitar
Most people think of guitar playing as strumming the strings. However, the standard guitar is more versatile than any other instrument, including the piano.
While a guitar can provide rhythm and expression, it is also capable of playing melody, which adds depth and richness that no other instrument can match.
Over the centuries, the versatile guitar has been considered a “bastard” instrument for common people — not good enough for classical music.
Contrary to what you might believe, there are no “set-in-stone” rules for how to play guitar. Four or five centuries ago, 4 gut strings were plucked by a large bird feather. It wasn’t until the 1700s that the six-string guitar evolved.
Some people become passionate about how the guitar should be played… but it’s all nonsense.
Playing guitar is the best insurance for continued health and mental happiness.
Use a guitar to play music you love and enjoy.
In a world short of happiness, pick up a guitar and make your own happiness. Play it well, and you can make other people happy too.
Play Live On Stage For Fun And Profit
From the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, stricter DUI laws, prevented most law-abiding adults from going out on weekends.
With less traffic, local venues could not afford to pay three and four-piece bands for entertainment, so local bands stopped playing live on stage.
By the end of the 1980s, most local musicians and the secret faded into history.
The collapse of local music also affected the wider music industry, which depended on local musicians for new talent. (All the top super bands and most pop stars started as local musicians).
I’m living proof that a solo local musician can replace expensive three and four-piece live bands. Following in my footsteps gives everyone, including you, the opportunity to play for fun and profit
A new SoloBand is born
NOTICE ?
My SOLOBAND website charges a small monthly fee of $25.00us
I only do this because my website contains hours of classic 50s,60s,70s and 80s copyright protected songs in my video library and I must pay royalties
for every person who has access to these videos to the copyright SOCAN Foundation.
Because the North American music industry stopped producing songs suitable for guitar in the 1980s, I’ve compiled a play-along video library to help you learn how to play a variety of guitar-friendly songs.
