Playing Guitar and AI
In a very confusing world, many young people are worried about AI and finding a job. In college, students wonder whether the course they take will lead to a better future. Will they be replaced by an AI bot?
No one can predict how AI will change the world as we know it.
AI is powerful, that is true, but there are distinct limits to its use. The jobs AI would most likely replace are the most boring, mind-numbing, and lifeless office jobs.
White-collar workers who are pencil pushers and shuffle paper all day, such as bookkeepers, accountants, office workers, and statisticians, would be the most vulnerable.
Look for an occupation AI bots can’t do,
Working directly with people will always be AI-proof. An ever changing and growing aging population, with an insatiable need for service is AI-proof. Blue collar jobs are AI-proof. Artistic people are AI-proof. AI only does data crunching
One particular area that is AI-proof is the live entertainment market. While younger teens might love a live DJ, adults do not like canned music, DJs, or hip-hop.
Adults prefer any kind of live music that mature couples can listen and dance to. There are audiences all across North America and beyond that are hungry for live local music, and adults are more than 50% of the population, and they have the money to pay for live entertainment.
You are never going to see an AI bot playing live music on stage. They don’t have the heart or soul to play music. If you want to ensure a better future, you should consider being a solo band local musician. Once you create your band, you have a lifetime weekend gig business that is always in demand.
Playing a guitar automatically implies playing a song and making music. To do so properly, you must train your brain, mind, and muscles to master a song’s tempo, rhythm, melody, and, usually, the words.
